Room to Grow
- Transplant your clone into a larger container as soon as possible.
- Use the growing medium of your choice (soil, living soil, coco, etc.).
- As the plant grows and becomes rootbound, continue transplanting into larger containers as needed.
Let There Be Light
- Keep clones under 18 hours of light / 6 hours of dark during the vegetative stage.
- If purchasing clones in April or May, keep them under a proper grow light (18/6) until at least mid-June before moving them outdoors permanently.
- Moving plants outdoors too early can cause premature flowering and reduced yields.
- To flower indoors, switch to 12 hours of light / 12 hours of dark.
- In our local climate, plants can typically be moved outdoors full-time in mid-June.
- Flowering time for your specific cultivar can be found here.
Feed It Nutrients
- Clones require nutrients for best results.
- Nutrient requirements vary depending on your growing medium.
- Rich organic soils may require little more than water initially.
- Plants grown in coco typically require nutrients from the start.
- Healthy leaves are usually a good indicator that your plant is getting what it needs.
Give It Some Love
- Check your plants regularly for watering needs, pests, and overall health.
- A little attention each day goes a long way.
